Amish Community Cookbook: Simply Delicious Recipes from Amish and Mennonite Homes

The Amish people are renowned for their rich agricultural heritage, strong community spirit, and good old-fashioned, stick-to-your-ribs comfort food. Recipes express their close connection to the land and reliance on fresh, natural ingredients.

Filled with favorite recipes gathered from Amish cooks across the United States and Canada, the newly-released Amish Community Cookbook: Simply Delicious Recipes from Amish and Mennonite Homes by Carole Roth Giagnocavo and the Mennonite Central Committee provides recipes that have been bringing families and communities together at the table for generations.

“Inside, are recipes for everything from apple butter to chicken pot-pie, ham loaf to classic mashed potatoes. The book is also filled with interesting facts and fun stories about many of the recipes, sure to surprise and delight any cook,” Carole Roth Giagnocavo says.
